A while ago I got bored so started pulling out old music books and playing them. My mom's old piano music was kind of fun. Sinatra was more interesting than I expected. Leon Russell had some interesting chord changes. Yesterday I pulled out Curtis Mayfield and found this inside

The set list for a show I did at the Canadian National Exhibition in the summer of 1974. I was pretty young and can't really say if anyone other than my sister was there and is still alive - and she probably went to something more interesting.

I have no idea why I stuffed old set lists in that book - it was too boring to open more than once. Today is Bowie - far more engaging.

Can't be all bad with "25 or 6 to 4" and "I'll Be Around" on there! I'd say you did some good stuff!

The band was a one year project meant to cover music from the 1920s through to 1970ish.

Does "vocal" mean you sang it? And is "Stardust" the Hoagie Carmichael song? I'd have you sing it to me, but I'm afraid it might move.

For reasons unknown, in those days I was allowed to sign really old stuff, and disco (different band though).
    Yes - Hoagie Carmichael

Too cool! I love unexpected finds like this. I dropped a pen under the recliner this afternoon. Had to raise is to get at the pen. Found a moderately stale Dorito. I was due for a snack anyway.

My boys used to live in Hoagie Charmichael’s house. The same house he wrote several of his hits.
