Took the Mrs to our first Davy Knowles concert (Schubas in Chicago last night).

Couldn't have had a better time and have already booked tickets for his return in November (He'll be in Naperville this time).

Got to hold "Ellie" while he signed my MC58 back plate.

Davy is not only an unbelievable talent but a sincerely nice human being!

My wife paid him the biggest compliment ever after the show. She loves Rock music but typically is disinterested in long guitar jams. She said that she was never once bored through any of his solos and watched each one on the edge of her seat (ironically we were standing the whole time). She was posting of her experience on facebook and several friends are now interested in becoming groupies ;-)

If you haven't seen him live you are truly, without question missing a HUGE opportunity to "Catch a rising star"!

Where's he playing in Naperville?

wentz concert hall at Naperville central college. Total seating... 617. Pretty nice little theater. It's a block east of Washington on Chicago. The wife and I saw Kenny Wayne Shepherd there a couple of years ago.

You can go to the college's website for tix. I'll be the bald guy in the center of the second row.

Hmmm, I've never met anyone FROM the Isle of Man although I know Cal Crutchlow, Nigel Mansell and Rick Wakeman moved to the island.

I have to find out if he's going to be close enough to go see. It's been too long.

A couple years ago, he played w/PRSh's band and played a solo on "Imagine" that had me slack-jawed.
