Dave Navarro model from 2009

Hi Guys,

My first post on this forum
I am trying to get some information about the differences between the Dave Navarro model from 2009 and the the newer models.
Our local music store only has the 2009 model and is selling it pretty cheap. The guitar they sell is never used is hanging they for 4 years already.
I hope someone can tell me the differences and if it is worth to buy, because there is a 1000 dollar gap between the different models.

I would think...go for it!! The 1000.00 savings is worth any slight change in specs...

The spec differences would include:

old finish vs. new V12 finish
Wide-thin vs. new Pattern thin neck carve
hollow birds vs. new birds

Otherwise: same woods, hardware, electronics and pickups. I agree with Bill, if it costs $1k less than a 2013 model, definitely get the old one.

My local dealer still has NOS PRS guitars from 2002 and 2005 hanging on the wall, and I've often wondered how low they would go to move those guitars.
