I bought a Zoom G5 multi effects/amp simlation pedal last summer and was dissapointed at how it sounded with my strat (Am. Std. 2000 and my lp (faded 2011). It's still been useful though for recording and practicing. The sound with those guitars was either too harsh, too muddy, or lifeless with no dynamics. This was using it either in front of my peavey valveking amp or as a DI into my PC to record.
When I got my Custom 24 S2 this week, I decided to see how it sounded with the Zoom pedal. It is AWESOME!! It sounds like I expected it to with my other guitars. It is so good, I'm considering using my G5 for gigging into the PA rather than hauling my amp around.
Has anybody else had a similar experience? Any idea why this guitar would sound so much better with this pedal than the others?
Thanks!
