I just recently purchased a Custom 24 Quilt top in Violet, but was a bit disappointed when it came out to be Pink! Why are like 50% of these PINK?! I’m comfortable in my manhood, so the Pink doesn’t freak me out, but it’s supposed to be Violet (purple) like the file photo every PRS Dealer uses for this Guitar. Tell me what you think?

Can’t disagree with your statement but I will say light also matters. I have some guitars that look almost black until the light hits them, 24-08 Charcoal Purple Burst, a Purple Keisel that looks very dark. Same for the lighter colors. Lighting plays a big part especially when sellers or companies are trying to highlight the woods. My .002

The Heart Wants What The Heart Wants...I Get It. If You Aren't Happy, Send It Back And Get Something You Would Be Completely Satisfied With. If It Plays Amazing It May Be Worth Keeping As No Two Guitars Are Alike And There Is No Guarantee That another Guitar (With The Desired Color) Will Play As Good. There Is Also No Guarantee It Won't So It Is A Toss Up When Buying Without First Trying. Bummer You Didn't Get What You Were Hoping For Color Wise. Congrats On A New Guitar Though! A New Guitar Is Always A Good Thing In My Book. :)

That’s hot. I’d rock it. You got Lucky.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the guitar! It played and sounds amazing, and I’m fine with pink as I’m confident in my manhood enough to rock this beautiful Guitar. Just mentioning how the colors are so wildly different

Each guitar will be different, as each piece of wood takes stain differently. “Stock” photos work fine for cars which are mass produced. The same holds for other mass produced items. You’re now in the world of each guitar being different, and more special to my eyes. That’s why we treasure our PRS.

I get the PRS thing of each guitar is unique, but I’ve seen the short video on how they get the purple color and it seems to me they forgot the blue dye.

Pink it is. Or Deep Rose.

Looks great, congrats! Pink or purple makes no difference to me. Both colors are in the same wheelhouse.

I'm not far from pink either... but I love it!!!

I love the guitar, I was just wondering why? If you watch that video it seems like they forgot the blue dye. What did they run out of it? Did their QC manager go color blind? I will buy another PRS as I love how this one plays and feels. I just hope the next one is more like advertised for Color and finish.

Does the why really matter? If it's that Ahmad was sick that day and Kwarta was filling in and didn't get it right, will that change your experience?

It just goes back to seeing the guitar before you buy it. That, or ordering from a store with a good return policy.

PRS seems to have plenty of different sorts of QC issues with the SEs. I think the volume of SEs that they're moving has outstripped their QC capacity.

Just added a set of New PRS Lampshade knobs!
What do you think? I think I’m a set of PRS locking tuners and maybe a solid brass Tremelo block and saddles away from it more resembling a Core Model PRS.
That's what I put on my purple/pink before installing the Dragon II's (was waiting on the pickups to arrive)!
It really makes a difference to me to have the lockers and the brass tremolo block!!! Honestly, it's a guitar
that I can't tell the difference between my cores and this SE CU24 other than the body carve!

Tone and playing wise, it's top notch!!!
