custom 24 ebay enquiry

hey guys, i'm interested in this CU24 but the seller doesn't seem to know much about it when i messaged them. The description looks like a copy paste job but my question has to do with the pick ups. It seems to be a 2004 model but i didn't think the 57/08 pickups where around then. Does anyone know what pick ups came stock in 2004 customs 24's or is the description correct?

2004s had HFS/VB pickups as standard. You are correct that 57/08s didn't exist then - they weren't introduced until 2008.

From those pics it does *look* like a 2004. But who knows... a low feedback seller who doesn't know much about the item they are selling is a red flag to me.

Ask for the serial number/photo of the back of the headstock...

yep they actually sent a picture of the back of the head stock for me which matched the serial number on the description. i think it may be just an error on the pick ups!

Hey dude, for that money there's a 25th Anni CU24 on Gumtree which the seller says has 57/08s in it.

That 2004 is a little overpriced IMO. There's also a 20th Anni Artist Pack with a couple of dings for less money too...

i actually preferred it with out the 57/08's to be honest justin. i already have hbii with them. I ended up speaking with him on the phone and he's not far from where i live so i can go play it first. I'm confident its legit and that i could get it at more reasonable price. i'm drawn to the older model cu22,24's as i have previously owned one. i love the old birds too!

No probs, the 20th is nice even if it has got a couple of dings! Killer top but it is a 3-way not a 5-way if that's what you're looking for.

Just remember eBay charge like 15% these days so there's always some wriggle room, especially with good ol cash deals

awesome man thanks for the advice. I'll be keeping a look out for those old CU24's or even CE's with dragons. gotta have those old birds though
