Custom 24-08 Aurora Borealis - why the hold up?

Hi guys,


I’ve had a Custom 24-08 in Aurora Borealis on order since the 22nd Jan 2025. Was told late March for UK, but now late July!


I’m keen to get it over the line, and am wondering why it’s taking so long? Finish issues maybe? With it being a PS finish now moved to core, it’s definitely something else, just a shame that no one’s got their hands on one yet.

Alternatively, if anyone in the USA can buy it, please let me know. I’d be up for arranging shipping to the UK!

Likely back log in manufacturing. There have been long wait times since Covid. They've even upped the number of employees in the factory.

It sucks. I remember in 2021 ordering my fiore in january and getting told April...then May...then June...Then August.

Longest I waited on an ordered PRS - 13 months.
Others have waited longer than that.
Gives you time to buy more guitars.

Probably something to do with it being their 40th Anniversary year and new products coming through.

Also if it’s a PS colour, it may end up in their queue, for staining, rather than on the core production line.

Looks like they’re having issues with that Aurora Borealis finish. I’d shoot them a quick email or check their social media for any updates. Fingers crossed it arrives soon! I’m also up for it if someone in the US can grab one and ship it over.
