Custom 22 Piezo - G String Issue

I just bought a Customer 22 PIezo. An open G-string rings differently from other strings. The Sweetwater tech says it's the nature of the piezo but it's only on an open G strings. When fretted the G string is fine.
Other strings fine.

I tried going to 18p but that didn't help. It made it worse. Now I can hear in all electric mode - I didn't hear on the lighter guage string when not uising the piezo.

I tried a Custom 24, it seem a bit better. Are all PRS piezo's like this?

No problems with either of mine. What you describe sounds like a problem with the nut to me.

Mine doesn’t ring on any strings in any piezo or pickup configuration, it’s set up for 10’s with a plain .017 3td string. I agree with the above post, sounds like the nut.
