I’ve got a hankering to nab one. Any Fatback owners out there that can tell me what you love about yours, and how much they differ from a normal Cu24?

I like mine just as much as I like the thin ones, but I was careful picking up a light one to avoid any noticeable 'butt-heaviness' when playing in the lap.

Noticeable difference in tone?

Funny, I refrained commenting on that but since you ask: none that I can perceive unplugged.
I'm a skeptic about the impact of body thickness on tone especially with it being the same weight as my other two CU24s. Now, if it were 1-2lbs heavier then things might be quite different.
Others will disagree, that's cool too. Don't trust anyone, myself included, just get one and let us know what YOU find out.

As for the plugged tone my other ones don't have the same pickups so it'd be pointless to compare (58/15 for others, 58/15LT on the fatback).

Thanks. If they’re the same weight, I could there being no noticeable difference. I would have thought it to be heavier. How do the LTs sound in it? That is what I am currently looking at, as well.

The one I have is around 7.8lbs like most the other ones the dealer still has (Wildwood Guitars).
On average they should be heavier but it's also not much thicker, at least nowhere as thick as SC 594s which can be boat anchors (I've seen sub-8lbs ones which have been tempting though)

I got mine because:
- GAS
- I was trying to figure out why split coils tone of 58/15LT pickups in a semi-hollow 594 sounded quite a bit more convincing to me than the CU24-08 w/ 58/15TM: solid vs semi-hollow construction, the scale length difference, pots/capacitors, or simply pickup differences ?

When Wildwood got those in PS finishes I got 'compelled' to get one to find out.
While the CU24 Fatback w/ 58/15LT does have a a slightly more convincing single tone than the CU24 with 58/15MT it's surprisingly close and the 594 semi-hollow still sounded (sold since) move convincing than either.
All this to say I really like the tone.
