Some people are not all that rational. Maybe someone thinks it is a real "Signature" model rather than a bolt on with the "signature" on the headstock(?)


But the real question is why the bid has gone so high on THIS......

Because it's a pre-factory, pre-lawsuit guitar, built back when they were all hand-made.

Not exactly. It's a '96 which makes it about the same value as any CE made in the last 15 years, about 1/3 that price. Even if it was an early CE, it wouldn't be worth that.

The only scenario I can think of is some guy pissed off his girlfriend, she got even by "donating" his guitar, and now he really wants to get it back. Unknown to him, she keeps bidding against him. Not sure if there's any other reasonable explanation.
