U.S. Customs and Border Patrol officials at a bulk mail center in Jersey City, New Jersey have reportedly seized over $1 million retail value worth of counterfeit guitars shipped from China.
185 guitars in total have been seized, bearing the names of familiar brands like Gibson, Fender, Paul Reed Smith, Ernie Ball, and Martin. These guitars show the expected shoddy workmanship that would distinguish them from the real deal, and had been purchased from an unnamed Chinese website that sells them for between 200 and 500 dollars each.

Excellent.

Unfortunately this is the tip of the iceberg, but increased vigilance is a good thing.
