Well...the color choice is not to my taste, but the thing that bothers me most is the asymmetric/random application of the color scheme.

If the body looked more like the headstock (all pink on one side, blending to blue/whatever on the other side) that might look OK. Or a true symmetrical application. But the offset "pattern" on the randomness that is burl just looks very off-putting to me.

Can you sand down burl and re-apply a finish to it? Or is it like a spalt, and very fragile/thin? I would think you could sand it down, but maybe the "superglue" they apply to keep it all together would prohibit that.

Well I kinda dig the top I just think the choice of colours is fugly. Maybe with that Laguna Beach colours with the bright green to blue would be quite yummy I think.
