That’s definitely one of my concerns with doing so. I like my McCarty so my I’m afraid to mess with it and get a tone or a feel I don’t like as much. I always defaulted to a slimmer neck so that’s what feels more at home. There is always the possibility that the ergonomics of a fatter neck suits me better, despite that. If money wasn’t an issue, I’d get another McCarty just to shave the neck down. That way I’d have both a McCarty with a neck closer to 60’s style and one more of a slimed down 50’s vibe.
