Hi everyone.
Does anyone noticed that the tone pot on the core, 2008 Mira Maple Top has a quirky interaction with some distortion effects and the guitar volume? It almost act also as a gain as well as a tone.
I love it! A small adjustment between the volume and tone pot positions changes the tone and character of the sound. This is very noticeable, something that none of my other guitars can mimic. At times changing the tone position, feels almost like a volume increase (6-10). It's not just a brightness thing.
This was one of the attractions when back in 2008 I tried the guitar for the first time and immediately fell in love with it. Soooo much controll within the guitar, without the need to go back to the amp.
I assume this is normal for this model and year and not some results of component's tolerances.
What's yours like?
