Core 594 2023 model 10 top now showing straight vertical lines about 1/4” apart on body

This is troublesome to say the least. This is definitely not grain. From the day I took it home and every few months after I’ve taken pictures of this guitar. I compared these pictures and see that these vertical lines that are obvious the length of the body

Yesterday I was in a signature PRS dealer store to by a core Silver Sky. The two I tried Wes solid colors. Then I held each so that the store ceiling lights were on each body. AND YES each of these solid color guitars had the same type vertical lines. They have no texture to the touch

This isn’t grain. They are too symmetrical. So I wanted to buy one I walked out shaking my head .. not again. PRS I love them but they don’t know how to get a clear coat right

I have 6 cores. 2 that I sold for Pennie’s were years ago when PRs used poly on cores my private stock fogged under the clear coat. The McCarty did the same. I live in VA. Smoke free and climate controlled house. My 345 that’s 5 years old doesn’t have this nor my LPs

So what is going on. Anyone else experience this

It’s hard to say without pictures, but my 2021 24-08 had lines, almost looked like cracks under the clear coat. PRS took care of it under warranty. It’s worth emailing some pics to customer service.

Thanks for the response. I plan on calling them this Monday. Isn’t it strange that to just out of the box core silver sky’s displayed for 1 wk in the store showed the same thing as my 594

I’ve never seen or heard of it happening with their solid color guitars, but I can believe it. Mine was explained as a defect in the guitar’s base coat.

the lines you see aren't that wierd , I've got several vintage instruments with them .. Wood is not consistently dense PTC should take care of you ..

I knew a dude that had wide lines on his PRS once, they cleaned up well but he was always ahead of the beat for awhile after that.

I wonder how things will change / look different as PRS is using more nitro and less poly???

Aren't some of these aging things part of that switch that people wanted ( not me).
