Cool OD pedal alert

Most of you guys probably already know this, but I do not use drive pedals very much. Anyway the Maxon OD 808 sounds really really good. Very natural and smooth. You can even use it with jazz chords! Very nice pedal for low gain tones, even if you are not trying to be SRV. The Mad professor Little green wonder, and Zendrive are among my favorites, but color the tone a bit more than the Maxon. (In a good way depending on what you are looking for) The 808 remains the chords with overdrive king however.

I've been using the Maxon 808 for a long time. Considering it was the pedal that got rebranded as the Ibanez TS808 there is a reason why many people love it. Simply sounds good!

I don't go anywhere without mine. Great OD pedal especially if using it to push in front of the amp with overdrive down low.

I have an Ibanez Tubescreamer, which is pretty much the exact same circuit. I like mine a lot, but use it for more tone shaping and sustain than overdrive. Mine has a fairly pronounced mid hump.
