You're a better man than I am, DTR. My apartment is currently in senior apartment housing, and we're a fairly small community of folks who seem to air their grievances quite often. It's not always that easy to remain positive with older folks (me being the youngest of the group at age 60).

I don't know about all that, just trying to help those in need while I can. One day, I'll be the old guy who can't climb up on the roof or work for hours in the yard.

As long as I'm not the old guy in a Plymouth driving 53 in the left lane on the interstate with my left turn signal on and a 3 mile line of cars behind me. If I get to that stage, please, somebody TAKE MY CAR AND LICENSE!

When you do, move to Wisconsin. I think they teach residents in Drivers Ed that the appropriate thing to do is get in the left lane as soon as you get on the highway, and stay there. No matter what speed you drive! No offense to my wife, her family, or any Wisconsin Forum Brothers and Sisters!

I don't care how old I get, or how dangerous I am. Cars are my reason for breathing. Anybody tries to take away my car or license, when it's all said and done, I'll be driving away. In my car. With my license in my wallet.

Man, I was totally joking anyway. I used to drive race cars. Ain’t NOBODY taking my license or my car, and the speed “limit” means “minimum acceptable speed for you to drive if you are in front of me without getting drafted.”

Just kidding. I have my Class A CDL now so, 5mph over the limit, max.

What kinda Racing did you do? Should probably PM me. Nobody else wants to hear it on a guitar forum.

I'm trying to break into the NHRA and get on a pit crew working on Nitromethane cars.
Problem there is it consumes your life. I would be forced to give up guitar...

That sounds pretty cool! It would be a great experience, I'll bet. I'm not really into drag racing. I'd like to go to an event sometime, though. I've been to Cup, Busch and IRL races, and had a blast.

You'd just have to set the guitar aside for awhile. Lots of guys on here are just getting back into playing guitar after life got in the way.
