I bought my S2 Standard 24 Satin online due to ongoing issues with contact and travel (I live in the middle of nowhere). It arrived with a slight but noticeable cigarette smell, but more problematic for me, after playing my fretting hand builds up a horrible smell from moving up and down the neck. I am wondering what the safest way to clean the satin finish to rid it of whatever residue is causing this without impacting the finish. I've read that this satin finish is the thinnest PRS does and I don't want to take it off. The guitar is otherwise in excellent condition.

Thank you all.

Other than a damp cloth, I’ve got nothing. That smell can be a tough cleanup. Good luck.

I may be lucking out in that the majority of the smell is coming from gunk on the fretboard.

There's a lesson there to all sellers: clean the instruments you put up for sale, the difference in price could be hundreds of dollars
