Came across an old Guitar Player magazine, look at Paul digging in on what was Santana's second PRS.Thankefully for all of us Paul kept his vision alive.Just thought I would share.

Cool, would love to read that article! Maybe we can conjure up a digital file with the date?

Last year I started a thread on who was the longest PRS devotee and I voted for myself because I had this article which focused on new talent. This was in Feb '82 and I was a young Airman stationed in northern Japan with my GP collection going back to '76(I took collection everywhere I went).

Paul had a bridge that utilized rollers at the time. Since PRS wasn't available for the masses, I purchased a Boogie MK1 two-piece and a B.C. Rich Eagle for $5k thinking that I would be good forever(the guy I bought them from had 20 combos and 20 Eagles!).

I saw Heart at the Philadelphia Spectrum in 82 ,and Howard Leese was playing the most beautiful guitar I ever laid eyes on,had no idea what it was. When this magazine showed up at my house I put two and two together.I actually called and spoke to Paul about a build it would have been a Golden Eagle I was quoted I think 2100.00.I was just about to drop the hammer and the tranny on my car went south.who knew.

Tab I think we're about even here. When the custom 24 went into production I bought one in 1995.

Since I'm probably younger, I should get the nod... I had too many expensive hobbies and didn't get my first till '09.

Okay, since we have similar tastes, I think a draw is in order. I traded the MK1 towards the MKIIC that'll be 32 in Oct. Sadly, I sold the Eagle to fund the audio stuff.
