CE24 vs CE24 Semi hollow

I have a CE24 and really love it, but I have a bad case of GAS for a semi hollow. A core is not in the budget. Asking those who have or have played both, how different is the CE24 SH from the solid body? Sadly, no semi hollow near me to try.

I have both. If I could only have one, it would be the semi-hollow. I am not sure how to articulate the differences, but the SH seems to have more tones on tap. It seems that the SH has more grunt and twang. It still gets great rock and blues tones, but offers a lot more.

I played a CE-24 and a CE-24 Semi, and went home with the Semi. For me, the Semi was slightly more versatile, in terms of mimicking an all-school jazz box; yet also being able to handle lots of gain. And it just looks really great!

2 months later I am happy to share the hollowbody was a terrific purchase. It's got an edgier flavor than the SB.
