Hi! I have a PRS CE24 with 8515 pickups and an SE Custom 24 with 8515S pickups. And I want to put another CE24 treble pickup in the bridge position in the SE. Since I am absolutely in love with that sound. Leaving the rest of the SE electronics.
The CE 8515 treble will have to coexist with the SE 8515S bass. I have seen that the wiring on both is very similar based on the diagrams on the PRS site. But electronics is slightly different. With some additional resistors in the CE24 at least.
I am not an expert in electronics. So my 2 questions are: (1) Will there be a problem with these differences in electronics? and (2) Will both pickups be able to sound good together or at least in the separate pickup selector positions? I hope only volume will be affected slightly.
