Hey brothers
i went today to try out my friend's newly set up CE22 94 model clad with fresh strings and I've tried it
with a JVM 100 head through 2x12 Mesa cab with V30's and a Mesa Roadster combo boosted a bit with an original tube screamer and some more burn with the Burnely for the heck of it...
anyway the sound with top notch but when I turned the volume pot down lower than 8
an audible hum was messing with the sound even at the clean setting so I need your expert advice on what could be
the culprit and the proper way to root up this annoying noise, of course with my gratitude and thanks in advance for anyone
who's willing to chime in.

Did any other guitars do it? I'm wondering if it was more EMI than the guitar. If it was the guitar I'd look at the cap or a loose ground more than anything.

actually I had a Santana se with me and was no hum at all and that's why I'm wondering
what could be the problem so I'll definitly head your advice
thanks AP 515

Fwiw, it's definitely not a general design flaw, I happen to have owned a '94 CE-22 (with the original HFS and Vintage Bass pickups) that doesn't hum.
