CE model changes over the years?

My CE22 is a 1994 and I read that this year they used Alder for the CE22, either all models or a handful of CE22.

What do you guys like about the original Dragon pickups? That is what I have in my CE22.

I had a 96 Cu22 that had Dragon I’s. I believe that was the last year. Might have changed over to II’s mid year?

97 CE22s still have D1s. That MIGHT have been the last year. Not 100% sure

Dragon 1s are very useful. They do higher gain extremely well but I'm amazed how they sound with vol pot rolled down a bit in all positions.

When I was using my 94 5150 head those dragon 1s sounded pretty good but I had both pickups set pretty low in the rings.

I'm living in a cleaner world tone wise these days and my D1 guitar doesn't see much use the way it is currently set up.

My '97 CE22 has original Dragon pickups. Not Dragon II. Maybe the change was made mid-year or in '98?
