I tell myself it’s an S2 bolt on with better electronics and flame, hence the price increase compared to s2 line. I still think the new CE is phenomenal in its own right. But comparing a non core to a core? Yeah good luck there. They can’t even get away with calling the CE/Silver Skys the bolt on series with the Silver Sky SE now.

I think they’re both good, and different. Although I don’t have a newer CE24. I do have a 2006 CE and a Johnny Hiland, which is a 24 fret maple board bolt on. The only smart thing to do is have one of each.
