A couple of shots of John Hayes from the Mother's Finest show I went to this weekend. Both guitarists had killer sound. the other guy was playing a "custom" strat type through a Marshall (not sure which) and a Peavey Valve King.

Talked with him very briefly after the show and he said he was using the SE to run stereo. The head was a 50W 2 Channel. Looked like he stayed on the neck pickup all night.

The "other guy" looks like Moses Mo. He is rarely seen without his old MusicMan guitars from late 70's begin 80's. I dunno if it is a Stingray or Sabre

That's him. It was all red. Looked like even the fretboard was red. And it had "Cool" on the headstock with two humbuckers. For a "funk rock" type of band there was absolutely no shortage of killer high gain tones coming from both guys.

I'm diggin' that pedal "board!"

Pretty minimalist. He didn't vary his tone much throughout the night but that was okay because it was an excellent tone. One of the pedals was a "synthie organ-like" effect. Didn't really care for it. He only used it for one extended intro. Besides the tuner I think it was the only box he stepped on the whole night.
