Yeah, the Hummer is not for everyone, that is for sure! You do know the history of that vehicle, yes? Started of course as a military vehicle. Then Arnold Schwarzenegger convinced GM (the manufacturer) to build a version for sale to the public. They agreed and that is what started it! Now those original ones would probably be right up your alley, especially with some fat exhaust stacks and a bunch of chrome, because there was nothing high tech/bells whistles about them! Good that you were able to check it out though, gives you some good perspective ;~))
I know the history. One of our friends had a late 90’s model and it was very cool. What a gas guzzler though. Because of the novelty of this vehicle he was a star in the neighbourhood.Yeah, the Hummer is not for everyone, that is for sure! You do know the history of that vehicle, yes? That's a day well spent!
I test drove the smaller version yesterday. I thought it was cool, but it beat me up. I’m gonna stick with a comfort SUV like my Jeep GC L.Speaking of cars...
A few of our friends own the new Ford Bronco's. We looked at them 2 years ago (before buying our Subaru) and I was shocked at the price range variance from low to high. Base models with turbocharged 3 cyl motors eek were as low as $23,000 and some models pushed up to the $40s and one V-6 turbo model at $64K. I was shocked that one model cost almost 3 times what another model did.
Last week we were at the county fair and the Ford dealer had a display. They had a cool looking Bronco there and I went to take a look. I quickly walked away with no details or model info because I saw the bottom line and about fell over. The sticker price was over $90,000!

You live in the Appalachian mountains you LUCKY son of a gun. That is one my most favorite place in the world.oh that Jag! After 7 weeks in the shop and 2 months pay , my baby is finally ready to come home . No more guitars this year , but Autumn in the Appalachians is a spectacular time to go for a drive
I've never had a chance to ride the "Tail Of The Dragon" but I hope to some day! Looks like you have some fun ahead, especially with the new paving!! Enjoy ;~))Finally took L'il Mule through The Dragon to snag some pics:
And I was thinking you were going to latch onto that Mercury Cobra number! That Vette really is a beauty!! For Vettes, I am enamored by anything from inception up to the late 60's!! Anything after that has not turned my head. Not saying they aren't still incredible cars, but like many cars, I think they lost their focus after the first gas crunch in the early 70's and never found it again (from a design perspective). Same thing with Cadillac and the rest of the US car industry IMO!Now your Talking!!! Impeccable taste MDW. I do love the Jag but the 61 corvette is making me drool!
