I'm strongly considering upgrading my pickups in my Tremonti SE from the Seymour Duncans I have to the USA Tremonti pickups. While I'm doing that I am considering also changing out the pots at the same time. Looking at the 2015 Tremonti wiring diagram it calls for (2) .033 uf caps but doesn't specify voltage. Looking online I'm finding several .033 caps with varying voltages. Does anybody know the voltage of the USA Tremonti Caps or if it even matters? Also, does PRS use Paper in oil or the newer type of caps? Thanks for any help!

They seem to use .033 in most of their guitars. Looking on the Internet I see a mix of the orange disk type cap and some white tube shaped ones that are probably paper in oil. Can't remember which ones I have in my guitars. Anyway, voltage doesn't really matter, since we're dealing with millivolts in a guitar. Most of the guitar caps I have seen handle up to 200-300 volts. Not sure why they use such high voltages in guitars.

Great thanks man. I talked to a guitar shop online and asked them and they pretty much said the same thing, that the voltage doesn't effect the tone in their experience. So it shouldn't matter which voltage rating you use. I went ahead and ordered some .033 uf 200 volt paper in oil caps. I'm hoping that it gives me the tone I'm looking for otherwise I will swap them out and keep experimenting. I've got the pickups ordered as well as the PRS pots. I've already replaced the 3 way and output jack with switchcraft parts so I'm excited to get everything in and installed.
