I figured out why I'm such a PRS enthusiast/fan/etc.

Nothing I own means as much to me as my PRS guitars.

Picking one up invariably brings a smile to my face no matter what else is happening in my life. I don't feel this kind of connection with any other instrument I've ever owned, including some very nice keyboards (still my main instrument), pianos, guitars, amps, whatever.

I realize that identifying so strongly with an inanimate object is a bit nuts, but so be it. That's who I am. I'd also like to say that the folks here mean a lot to me, too.

I get very mushy on father's day... ;)

I can relate to that forsure. Every time I plug any of my Prs's in, I get a big smile. No other guitar can bring that to me. There is also nothing wrong with being so attached to an object as the object passes the passion from your heart to your fingers and then translated to notes.

Nothing wrong with being mushy but I'm not going to hold your hand lol

I have to agree.... after owning and playing many guitars... I've finally found the brand that speaks to me. And to all the dads on this forum: Happy Fathers Day!

I love all of my PRSs, including all the ones I have sold. Not a single one I did not love. To put me over the edge though, for that life long instrument, it will take the PS I have been trying to get. I am still holding on to the hope the Pomegranate will be that guitar. It is back at PRS one more time for some additional work to try and get it there. My fingers are crossed. ....And its great to have you here Les. I always considered you a friend on TGP, and its REALLY nice to have found you over here! Happy fathers day! :)

I am obsessed with all my guitars, amps, the sound, and the music they make. Also obsessed with getting better even now. I did not even get to my PRS today. I spent 2 and 1/2 hours working on a couple of new songs. My Strat and R8 just gave the tone I wanted. Any fine instrument just motivates me to plug it in and play, PRS included of course.

It was a great Father’s Day. Had my two sons over for grill out. I was going to try to get my youngest (24) back into playing but he sprang the news that he just got accepted into Texas AM grad school. I said that’s ok. You are going to be very busy working and going to grad school. We will talk about it in a couple years.

Happy Father’s Day!

Cheers,
Wooly

I'm so uninterested in other types of guitars, anything that is not a PRS may as well be blue.

Les, you old softie!

Old.

I hear you. JustRob and I were talking about what a great group this forum has fostered. There's almost no need for a moderator, as the group does a good job of steering most bad behavior into a more positive views and discussions. Mostly. This is a really great place.

Happy Father's Day

PS, my wife is awesome. Not only did she make brunch reservations as my favorite place, I had the best espresso I've ever had (including lots in Italy!), I got a mountain bike ride in, AND got to play my SC HB II for a couple hours! Awesome day.

PRS Guitars Fugg'in Rock!

And today my Artist V and HXDA fugg'in ROCKED OUT on a new national TV commercial (thereby proving Markie's theory) and the session went horrorshow with the clients loving the tracks. Now is the time on Schprocketscheff venn ve dance! :girl:

You, Tag, will always be my pal! :top:

"Want to touch my monkey?"

Yes Markie, they do. And yes, Les, for all of those reasons. Just when I start to think I need to broaden my horizons, I play with someone else sporting a really cool guitar (my youngest son Taylor on my ES-335) and I still spend most of my time listening to my own rig thinking "damn, I sound good!" PRS just does it for me.

Oh, oh, and you guys are pretty cool too.
