Can a Custom 24 Bridge be Lowered, and if so, how?
Here is the back story. I have always preferred fixed bridges (like on a Les Paul), my first PRS guitar was a McCarty and thus I have never had a problem lowering the action to where I like it. However, upon looking at the Custom 24 bridge, I have always assumed that it could not be lowered, so I never tried. But then it dawned on me that maybe just because I couldn't figure out how to lower a Custom 24 bridge, doesn't actually mean that it cannot be lowered. I would really like to get the action on all of my Custom 24's as low as my fixed bridge guitars if possible. ...and no, I don't care if the tremolo action binds up because a rarely ever use a whammy bar.
