Hello,

Here is my problem,

I have a marshall 1960a 16ohms and a Saxon 212 16 ohms as well. I want to hook them up together but not sure about the marshall cab because it can both stero and mono with a 4/16 ohm jacks. I use a hughes and kettner grandmeister 36 head which has one 8-16 ohm jack.

I did try google but there is some confusing stuff on there

Any help would be great please

I'm not a cabinet expert but I play one on the Internet. I understood you to say that you had two cabinets but only one output on your amp head. The thinking behind my sugestion to just pick your favorite cabinet and abandon the idea of using both at one time has to do with the diminishing returns concept. You wouldn't want to modify the cabinets from their stock configuration and I don't think you are going to hear any real difference by adding an additional two speakers to the excellent 4x12 you already have. Or if you are tight on space, just use the Saxon cabinet. I don't see any advantage to using both at the same time. IMHO YMMV

That's kind of what I was thinking too. I was debating on the sound really because I think the 412 would over power the 2 1 2. I was even contemplating a new Archon but hate the thought of a hot plate to get the bedroom volume.

So my way of thinking is to sell the Saxon cab and get a 112 made with an over sized pine cab with a drawer . Good light cab for portability.

The archon master is great, really doubt you'd need an attenuator. I love playing mine at home, which is why I want another one.

That's kinda what I've been looking in to. I just wish I could find any you tube vids with the bedroom levels. May just have to drive 2 hours away to really play one.

Thinking about this, you know, some bedrooms get really loud. ;)

Ok that is pretty straight forward but what input on the marshall cab would I plug the amp in to ?

If Marshall and Saxon are both in 16ohms you will have a total load of 8ohms on the Archon, so will be 100% safe to use both cabs this way.
