Call Me Ishmael

Les you’re transforming me from an admirer into a fan boy. Using the hook of great literature to reel me in to great musical composition is brilliant. Just wonderful.

Another great piece, I really enjoy your stuff, thank you.

Have you ever had someone “professional” (I know you are), but in a classical music area have a listen ?

You're too kind, guys!

Yes! Thar she blows!

Haha! The word, 'blows' also applies to the quality of my orchestrations... ;)

Not that I know of. I probably should. I need someone to talk me out of doing this!

"Stick to making ad music, Les. You have no idea what you're doing."

"But it's fun. Perhaps you could give me some pointers."

"It's not worth my time. Maybe try getting a music education first."

Would you prefer the more androgynous "Pat?"

My full first name is Leslie, which is androgynous enough, thanks! My mother liked the actor Leslie Howard, but really I have no idea what she was thinking when she named me, because it sure was a goofy idea.

Leslie Howard's real first name was Laszlo. His parents were Hungarian. They anglicized it to Leslie, which was once a popular men's name in England.

From time to time, I think I should call myself Laszlo, and have a proper man's name, but then no one would know who I am any more. Not that they know who I am now. Hahaha!
