Buzzing, grounding issue?

There’s buzzing coming from the neck pickup but not for the bridge pickup, it’s the same for any modes [humbucker or single coil]. How do I diagnose what’s wrong? I tried touching various metal parts in the cavity using a guitar strings to test if they are grounded and everything seems to be fine.

I had this problem recently when I was swapping some pickups and found that I had wired my ground/shield wire from the pickup in the wrong place. Make sure your ground from the neck pickup is wired the same as the bridge, that may be the issue.

Cross referenced the wiring diagram and nothing is out of place. Is it possible that the ground wire from the pickup is broken? Not familiar with electronics wiring which makes it even worse to understand what’s happening
