Has PRS discontinued manufacturing the NF3? I do not see it listed under "products" on the web site. I want to buy a new NF3 with regular pattern maple neck and bird inlays - any thoughts on where to find one?

Yes, it's been discontinued but there may be some dealers with some left. I would start with Google.

Search this forum for the thread about the Guitar Center clearance. There will be a link to a list of all the PRS guitars they have left, several of which were NF3s the last time I looked. Prices are excellent!

the guitar center clearance is done. But they do have a few NF3 left. good luck

Thank You

Thank you all for your input. I was able to buy a new NF3 at a PRS on line distributor. They had 3 new NF3's in stock at the time I placed my order.

Just received the guitar via UPS today!

Guitar came with PRS .10 gauge strings. Can I switch to .09 gauge without effecting the neck / set up?

IMHO you are safe moving down to 9s, especially if you go hybrid 9s. But really the difference, in my experience, is not enough to worry even if you use regualr 9s. I adjust the bridge height almost every time I get a guitar, even if I use the stock strings.

(why is that not a standard smiley for this forum? It would get used a lot, I suspect!)
