Hey guys, I have a question and I figure this s the right place. I found someone here is willing to sell me a Budweiser promotional PRS for cheap, and I was hoping to find out if these were legit and actually mahogany. It's an EG style model, and I'd love to get a PRS with single coils on the cheap, but not if they are promotional junk. I don't mind doing a refinishing at all to get the cheesy graphic off.

Does anybody have any experience with these or can point me towards some info?

I heard on another forum that it's possible the promo guitars are just made of basswood pieces. I'm hoping someone here can point me to the right resource to find out. I guess I could always email PRS with serial number.

They are legit! PRS SE EG
Is it a hardtail? What is "cheap" ? Sub $200?? I would buy them all day @ that price.. A lot of people don't like this guy but he is pretty accurate on this model PRS SE EG .. check out the vid

(I own 2.. One hardtail one trem)

And if it is a hardtail and you decide not to buy it please forward me the info.. I have been looking for a Bud SE EG with hardtail for my collection

He started at 350, but told me he would let it go for 250.

I obviously haven't seen the condition of the guitar but if she isn't beat to hell that's a great price. I absolutely love the SE EG

Thanks for the feedback guys. As soon as I unload my strat I'm all over this one.

And remember if it's a hardtail and you change your mind I'll give you $300 :top:
You know where to find me.

So bad news. I contacted the guy to buy it, and he told me that while cleaning it, he found a big crack in the neck, and was unlisting for the time being to get it checked to see if it is just the finish, or to the bone. I think he sold it and is just lying because he knew I was pumped for it. Oh well, if I hear from him again, I'll let you know.

Sorry to hear man!! Keep your eyes open, the regular color SE EG's pop up pretty often on my craigslist and you can always find them on feebay but you will pay a premium.

Wow if you see one that you're not all over, lemme know, now I'm intrigued by these instead of my beloved strats.

So $100 is a good deal for this guitar? My old roommate just sold me his for that and I didn't know much about the guitar other than the name. I basically paid $100 for the name lol, but it sounds like I got a really good deal.
