Last night my Buddy with serious GAS
took me to see the Buddy Guy Farewell Tour
It was absolutely amazing!

at 87 almost 88 years old is voice is strong and his range rather impressive
His playing is still good although the best guitarist on stage may be the one in his band
but there is no doubt the show's star is Buddy
He is definitely an entertainer
as he played to the crowd the whole time
including walking down off stage and around the auditorium while playing
stopping to impress the women even taking one girl's finger and playing his guitar with it

He played his guitar with a drumstick and a towel
and even his poke-a-dot shirt

It was absolutely fantastic
He was on stage about 75 minutes
I am so glad I got to go

Buddy Guy is a great show. I've been fortunate to see him quite few times. The blues bars in Chicago have been the best!

I discovered some new players through this too
They played Ally Venable before the concert while people were getting seated
I'm in love now 😍

and Tom Hambridge opened for Buddy
He's mostly a writer that's written a lot of Blues songs for big name artists
but his performance of "Upside of Lonely was memorable

so two new Artists for me to enjoy
I've spent all day playing and listening to the 3 of them

That Right There Is What This Is All About! Good For You!!

The first time I saw and heard Buddy was when him, Junior Wells and the Chicago Blues All Stars opened for the Rolling Stones, October 5th, 1970 in Frankfurt, Germany. (I was in the Army at the time)...They completely, totally and utterly upstaged the 'Stones.
