I'm sure that this has been asked a million times; however, i still want to ask for some opinions. I own a private stock 594 that has been gigged a few times, and I'm just noticing that quite a bit of the coating on the back has come off. Should i get this re-coated? does it hurt the value? If so How much would this cost on average?
Thanks!

I am sure some potential buyers would point to that and want a discount. Whether it hurts the value depends on you. You are the one who decides whether to sell at a lower price or not. PS guitars I see out there go for about half what they were new so one could say that discount is already accounted for in the price drop, but again it is really up to you.

For me personally, I would only buy a PS because I wanted what it offered. I don't expect I would ever sell unless I was desperate for the money or stopped playing. Either way I don't think I would offer the guitar for less than half it's original cost for a cosmetic reason.
