Bucket List Item (Nürburgring)

Woohoo! That’s on my bucket list too! Damned cool video...and you kept the line tight and smooth, well done. Even I’m grinning for you right now.

Gorgeous car. Looks good on you.

And tell your buddy, when you climb into the right car and are told to put on a helmet, you are going to look like anything but a dork.

If you do this a bunch, you might consider harnesses...makes for a very assuring run.

Glorious!!! I don't think you could have had a better day for that. My father was in the US Army, stationed in the Stuttgart area when I was very young (up to first grade) and a lot of Germany seeped into me at that early age.

Your tunes were pretty chill, but I bet the inside of Chris's head sounded like Meshuggah's "Bleed..." I was entertained that most of the time he seemed to be having issues was when the speedo was still in double digits!

One of my best days ever was the second day of the Ford Performance Racing School, driving a current-model Mustang GT on the Desert Motorsports Campus track down in Utah. I can only imagine what the Nordschliefe must have been like. I've only "driven" it in games. Maybe one day I'll get there.

I tell my buddies here in Germany how good they have it in that regard. It's like anything else I suppose. When you grow-up with something, it isn't special.

There is no doubt that Germany is automotive paradise.

The Germans know comfortable speed.

If you are ever back in the US and get a chance to drive the banking at Charlotte Motor Speedway that should close your automotive bucket list.

Nurburgring!!! Awesome!

I scared the crap out of myself racing at Mid-Ohio. Never mind the Nurburgring!

Props to you, Hans.

When did you do Mid-Ohio? That used to be my local track for Porsche club and Tracktime events in the 1985-1991 range. Also did Charlotte Motor Speedway, Watkins Glen when the full course was open (toe of the boot), and Grattan (where my brother crashed my 1973 911s).
