Hi,
I bought a guitar online. When it first arrived, I restrung it cleaned it (PRS cleaning set /polish). However, when you hold the guitar in a certain angle you can see that there are some kind of bubbles in the finish.

Now I wonder it comes the from eh polish or cleaning that I did or was this already in the guitar before?
Is there a way to get rid of the bubbles?

It’s PRS custom 24, with a high gloss finish.
Best reagrds,
James

Don’t believe polish could have done that, what year / finish is it? Could potentially be a reaction but it looks like a finish defect or sth has been used previously that’s “eating” the finish

The guitar is from 2021, it has High Gloss Nitro Finish. Is there a way to get rid of them?

I’m no authority on such and never seen it but appears to be optionally solvent popping which would indicate it’s been there since the guitar was finished but there are way more experienced owners than me here who could weigh in, my suspicion is no, you won’t be able to get rid of it / polish it out etc even on the first image outside the bubbles you can see the reaction which has clearly pitted, maybe the guitar was refinished incorrectly?

Hard to tell from photos , my first guess is bubble wrap or a nylon, plastic strap reacting with the finish.
You could try a mild rubbing compound go gently.
BUT before I did anything I would contact your dealer ( if you got it from a dealer )
also Contact PTC Service. and see what they think.
