BRW, CITES, TGS etc

Been looking (ok ogling) the TGS BRW "run", and got me thinking, hang on, how is that BRW getting out of the US? The NOS Modern Eagles were "USA only" but this run...?

Is the BRW used "pre-convention" e.g. cut before 1991ish, and has the documentation to prove it? Can it be shipped worldwide...? Or for some reason, is Canada treated as the US for CITES purposes?

I'm asking because my hopes of owning a PRS w/BRW were dashed a long time ago (ok they do pop up from time to time on the local market, at highly inflated prices), so interested to know the answer to this one!

Back at last year's experience PRS was working on getting the paperwork in place to ship braz to other countries and had expectations of getting Canada and Japan sorted out by the end of the year. They clearly have shipping to Canada in order.
I have no idea what the status of Japan is, or what other countries they may be trying to ship to.
