Brighter Neck Pickup?

Which is the brighter pickup in the neck, the 57/08, or the 59/09?

My previous Mira had a really muddy neck pickup. I put in some uncovered 59/09s and the neck pickup went from mud to bright, throaty gloriousness. It was fantastic.

After lots more buying and selling I bought another Mira and this one gets all the bright, throaty gloriousness from the stock neck pickup.

I have not tried a 57/08 neck pickup.

Generally speaking, all things being equal (magnets, type of wire, # of turns) the pickup with the lower DC resistance (i.e. Low-Wind) will sound brighter.

Neck 59/09s are brighter than 57/08s in my guitars. I've got one neck 57/08 that's actually pretty muddy.
