Blue Beauty It Is….NVELAD!!

As I have mentioned in a couple of posts I have a new Vela that arrived yesterday. It’s a “Custom Color “ Metallic Royal Blue" as The Guitar Sanctuary states. I have been going back to the ad as it did not have a picture, and finally caved. The black scratch plate does not look bad but I think it’s going to go away in favor of a white pearl!!! Thank you Brian at guitar sanctuary. I set it up last night and now just waiting for it to settle in. It sounds every bit of what I expected out of a Vela.. what a looker it is! Happy birthday to me!!This should nicely round out my Vela collection.

after some minor surgery and finishing up the set up, I’m totally stoked! She’s one pretty girl in my eyes. I think that the white looks so much better than the black scratch plate…It really is amazing how the blue pops now, it’s kind of hard to photograph, it’s so much darker than the metallic light blue that they have now. I wish I knew the backstory on how it came to be built, or ordered. The plastic on the scratch plate didn’t even have pick marks on it when it arrived!
