My wife and I went to see Blake Shelton Saturday night outdoors near Chicago. On three songs they used a PRS that looked very much like my own guitar. Awesome.

I tried to identify exactly what model it was but couldn't. It looked like a Custom or P22 perhaps. It was 22 frets, two humbuckers (same size), two rotary dial knobs and a switch toward the heel of the guitar (not between the knobs.)

The fiddle player used it for rhythms on one song and the lead player used it twice on songs with lead solo's. Mostly Tele's otherwise but it was cool to see. I took a pic with my camera phone but the quality is fuzzy. Unfortunately we weren't that close.

The show was great by the way.

They're really putting out some cool stuff for us single-coil guys. I've been a Tele player for years, and recently I got a Brent Mason Model--great guitar. Previously, the only PRS I'd tried that I'd have taken on a country gig (and I'm talking about traditional Bakersfield-style country, not the '80's-pop stuff that they call country these days--although I can cover both extremes with the Brent Mason) was a DC3.

Brad ought to try a Brent Mason--I sure like mine! (see my previous post)

Either way is fine with me...just bring him home...he's quite the player!!!!!
I love the Masons , too...great selection of tones...keeping with typical tradition of PRS ...
