Ivory for me; the black rings make the whole presentation a little too dark. And I like the classic look of ivory anyway.

But it’s certainly nice either way.

Except in this case, I'm surprised to say that I think the ivory works! The black rings with those covers make the pickups look like little harmonicas to me.

Switch tip, paper, leg, guitar position, and reflections off the body.

Hard to decide... but here's what I'd do:

If I went with black, then keep the same black background lampshade knobs.

If I went with Ivory, then I'd change the knobs to have a lighter color background.

You guys are the best. Thanks for all your input.

I wound up going with black, for several reasons:
1. It matches the knobs, the fretboard, and the ebony tuning keys better.
2. It blends in better with the top, making body look wider in relation to the pickups, which I find desirable.
3. It makes the purple mist stain seem a little more vibrant.

It was a tough decision, though, so thanks for helping out!
