I have an S2 McCarty 594, and wanted to put a bigsby, or equivalent trem. I had a dusenberg les trem 2, but when I tried to install that, I noticed the stop bar wasn't the same width, the threads were wider than the les them. So I was wondering if a bigsby would work, I like the looks of the bigger ones, but it is a flat top, so a horseshoe would probably work better? Let me know your thoughts, and if that's possible, if it would even work, or any other options. Thank you!

And I was thinking I'd use one with a tension bar if a long one would work. Like a B7.

You ever have any luck with this?
I'm looking into adding a Bigsby B7 to a singlecut and cannot find adequate dimensions to save my life...

Yeah, the studs seem to be a little farther than Gibsons. I brought my guitar to a luthier to get accurate measurements, and to ask if it would work. Still waiting, that was yesterday. I'll get back to you with what he says. I know vibramate says they have one that works for a B5 bigsby, but that's just not as cool to me lol.

Get a Stetsbar!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE both of mine!!! Totally reversible!!! I think he does them for PRS "tuneomatic" spacing if it's different from Gibsons and most otherrs.

The Luthier I gave the guitar to said it will work with a B5, he's going to put it on after he comes back from holiday. But we're confident a B5 will work!

Also, the reason he said he couldn't do a b7 is bc of the beveled edge, not the dimensions of the unit, so if you have a core, it should actually work!

A B5 will work if you direct mount it, heck you can mount a B5 to just about anything. The thing that won’t work is anything that uses the tailpiece mounting setup because the spacing is different on the 594. Pretty sure that would include the Vibramate.

This. A B5 is the easy answer as long as OP is cool with the direct mount. I have my doubts about a vibramate too.

I wanted to put one on my SE 594 but I would either have to modify the mount or plug and redrill the studs. I have thought about modifying a Duesy trem, I think I saw someone had done that on Facebook or somewhere.
