Big THANK YOU to our moderators

I haven’t seen a mall cop in months.

We have a foot doctor. Does that count?

No, like you, I remember young people who are just starting out in life. I also remember we were once young and foolish. Coffee refill?
So, serious question... you took him seriously? Didn't catch a whiff of troll scent at any time?

Yep, seemed like an honest kid who liked to chat about his future goals in life, and wondered how he was going to make it possible.

A kid can dream, but trying to encourage someone who is not your own some folks find suspect if not a bit creepy. I've learned from past mistakes that parents only wish to protect their kids from online dangers and folks who may not have their kids' best interests in mind. That's why I recall the young man, but didn't converse with him once others had suggested for me not to. It was the "nurturing mentor" side of me speaking, which can sometimes causes unwanted trouble. Although I don't go looking for it, it usually finds me. That's why I didn't converse with the young man further.

IMHO only, I knew that is exactly what you were thinking. But, again, speaking ONLY for myself, I never bought for a second that it was some teenager and thought it was a troll all along, and I think some others did as well, so it did seem weird to me, that you were trying to mentor a troll. That said, I've tried to help people before because that is my nature as well, who I found out later were only using me. So, I get the mindset of helping someone who is younger or whatever. I just never bought that he was.
