The SE DGT has been stripped to its "core".

Nothing on this guitar will be left stock except the pickups. I actually REALLY dig the stock pickups. Even @garrett thought the SE pickups sounded good on this guitar.

Garrett is going to do the wiring harness for me. There was a lot of discussion on possibilities the day he was over. Instead of going totally wild, I decided on 2 push-pull volumes and a tone. I ordered all PRS electronics. I really love the taper they have on the pots.

This guitar is getting hydrid hardware. The trem is being swapped for a PRS/MANN nickel-plated brass bridge with gold saddles. The pickups got gold pole pieces. The Core pickup rings will be held in place with gold screws. I have gold tuner buttons for the SE locking tuners.

There is one other super-secret surprise still to reveal. Stay tuned!!

I'll wait...

This is going to be both fun and dangerous for me. I haven't had anything to tinker with for a while so it'll be a good time, but my GAS is already flaring thanks to this guitar. :D

So Pink sparkle?

Actually, I was going to have it refinished in Candy Apple Red with a black back (keeping the maple binding) but did a test fit with the new hybrid hardware and Core plastics. The Gold Top looked much more subdued and less like a junkies urine sample. So, gold it stayed.

Besides, I already did that on a PRS.

I also got my Music Man JP15 refinished in Rose Gold Sparkle.

;)
