Best under a grand?

Are you guys musicians or accountants?
Just have a perverse interest in the value of money.

I still have a bass I bought for $150 a lifetime ago - really good value.
Bought an acoustic for $379 and couldn’t find one I liked as much for less than 3 grand, so I just kept playing it for 30 years - great value.
Les Paul Custom was less than a grand kept me happy for most of a decade until I could afford a PRS CU22 - pretty happy with that value.

...and the more than a grand PRS I’ve now owned for 25 years - excellent value.

Further to my original post (if we're letting other brands play) I have to post these beauties.

Epiphone Les Paul Special - This thing is freakin awesome. Only thing I needed to do was lower the action and de-gloss it with a scotchbrite pad.

Maverick SF-3 (was under a grand when I bought it but with inflation probably closer to 2 now if they were still being made)

I have three that are really outstanding. The Mira above is one.

Here's the second (I paid $500!!). It is so far out of its own league.

And the third is my "prettiest." This had been modded since this photo. Killer guitar.

WOW! What brand model is this? Is this really a PRS?

Got to agree that when it comes to new guitars under $1k the Zach Myers is hard to beat. Incredible sustain/tone, and the satin finish on the special run I had was so nice playing.
Although I returned mine due to a few minor craftstmanship 'flaws' that I wasn't necessarily expecting; they all seem to have them to some extent so it's more a matter of setting expectations accordingly at that price point.
Ironically they would have been invisible with any finish but a natural one.
That quilt was exceptional, and the back was very good looking compared to most.
