Best of all worlds

We went to BOAW show in Chicago last night. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

JS did a fantastic job but you could close your eyes and know it wasn't EVH playing.

Great show and I had a great time!

Recommend it.
How were ticket prices? I really wanted to go to this but took a look when the Cincinnati date was first announced and ticket prices were NUTS! I was going to look again as it gets closer, but they were starting at over $300.

We bought our tickets last year almost as soon as they were available at 250.00 each.

We were a dozen rows from the stage but on right side in front of jumbotron.

We rented a limo to take us to the show and back.

We got to the venue about an hour early so we had a "few" while waiting in the limo.

One of our guys got a text from his wife saying she was divorcing him.

What a freakin buzz kill.

That is the most I've ever paid to see a show.

yikes! I've heard of breaking up via text when just dating, (and call me old fashioned) but ending a marriage seems like it should be more of an in-person thing?...

I don't know why I always feel the need to justify... but I ain't broke. LOL It's just that in my mind, I have a "value" for a good or service, and if it's more than that, I'm not playing. This is the same value set that keeps me from trying more amps, that now are 10-15 years old, and are selling for more now than they cost new. And that is why I jumped on the Blistertone. While HX/DA's seem to have gone up like other amps, many of the PRS amps haven't and it was a great price for a great amp.

Back to topic: I looked at floor seats, back past the front section (15-25 rows back in this venue is a great seat) and they started at $325 or so plus garbage fees which would take them over $350 per. Love Joe, love Sammy, etc., but not interested at that price.
