Just visited the PRS site to show someone the kind of guitar I have (a Bernie). I find it's no longer listed (as far as I can tell). Are they now out of production?

Sorry if this is an old topic but I haven't visited PRS in a while.

Unfortunately, it is.

I thought it was an accidental omission at first but customer services confirmed it to me.

There is a PS in the works. Infact some have already been made and sold in advance but PRS are keeping tight lipped about the whole thing.

Talk of a core model too but take that with a grain of salt for now. I suspect the SE Marsden will return in the future.

For now there are plenty in the shops still. You'll still find the details on the product page by visiting the 2015 line up.

I'll be totally honest and admit I'll probably never buy a Bernie. For the first time in a really long time, im really content with my guitar collection. As a matter of fact, I've been downsizing. But I think the Bernies are frickin' awesome guitars, especially at that price point. I saw a YouTube video where Bernie himself played his SE and compared it with his 59 Les Paul known as the Beast. Of course, I preferred the 59, but who wouldn't?!?! However, the Bernie SE really compared favorably. If I were playing out, I'd grab one for sure, and leave my expensive guitars at home.

I was a bit gutted when I saw that they weren't being offered anymore. I had been looking at getting a new singlecut, comparing the S2 Singlecut, the SE Zach Myers, the 245, the Tremonti Custom, and the Bernie. Out of all those, the Bernie was easily my favorite. It sounded and felt better to me than even the S2, which I was a bit surprised by. Now I've gotta try to find one before they disappear!

drdoom8793, I don't know where in North Carolina you might be, but if you're not against a little travel I happen to know that there is one at Eastside Guitars in Greenville, SC. Their website does not show any, because of a past bad experience with some inconsiderate customers, but Terry actually has a good selection of SE's including the Bernie, as well as some S2's. That's where I got my S2 Satin 22. Google will show you the way... HTH.

Thanks Mark. I work off Butler Rd in Greenville, might try to ride out and take a look at it at some point.

I bought my first PRS (CE24) from Terry at Eastside Guitars back in '98. Such a great store, glad to hear they are still around!

markintime, I went to Riverside in Greer

Ah, I thought that perhahps the 'CHS' might have been a reference to Clinton High School. I'm an IT guy for the district. Riverside is a good school. My sons played against them in soccer back in the day. Back to the thread.
