I love my Bernie, but I'd like to sample some other pickups. Is the Bernie regular or F-spaced? Two conductor or other? Are the dimensions standard? For example, will a Dimarzio 36th Anny drop in ok? Sorry for all the questions, but I just don't swap pickups much and I also don't trust my measuring instruments. Thanks.

Usually, normal spacing will fit the neck and F-spacing will fit the bridge. If you're swapping out pickups, normally they come with 4 conductors unless stated on the website. The Dimarzio 36th Ann. will come in both spacings, you just have to select the right one for the right position. There's really no need for any measuring instruments, all the measurements are done by these pickup companies and guitar companies, and all you have to do is to pick your choice of pickups.

Either F-spaced or standard will work perfectly fine in the bridge pos.. perhaps F-spaced if you want to be super anal but PRS spacing is... Actually I can't quite remember now as it's been a while since I swapped the pups... Somewhere in between I think. I have standard spaced pups (Bare Knuckle Mule neck & Suhr Doug Aldrich bridge) in my Bernie and it looks just fine.
I think you should be ok with leg length on the Bernie as it's not a thin bodied guitar, in all other respects it should fit just fine.
Don't worry about the number of conducters. If you get 4 (As I did) then you can either make use of that for various wiring combos or if you want to stick with stock (Bernie is two conducter) then you'll find the manufacturers will have tied off the two un-needed wires and heat shrink wrapped them so you don't get confused. I have a wiring diagram for the Bernie if you ever need that - though I think I did it for a specific pup manufacturer request, but it's easily modified once you know the colour codes used by the manufacturer of the pups you go for.
